The Original Yakety Yak Cafe opened it's doors on March Third, 1989 in Seaside Heights NJ. The Grand Opening was an overwhelming success and instantly the Yakety Yak became the most popular year round nightclub in the area. The Asbury Park Press referred to it as “The Sparkling Gem of the Jersey Shore!” Some of the biggest names in 50's & 60's entertainment have appeared there, such as CHUBBY CHECKER, BOWZER, THE SUPREME'S MARY WILSON, JOHNNY MAESTRO & THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE, THE DUPREES among others! Many fond memories and even a few mariages were made there!  This reunion is dedicated to the talented staff (some who are no longer with us) and to the thousands of loyal customers who walked through our doors and "Bopped Till They Dropped!" from 1989 until 1995!
