T J LUBINSKY
SPECIAL GUEST HOST & DEEJAY
TJ Lubinsky was a Loyal Patron of The Yakety Yak Cafe
and a Popular Fixture on the Yak's "Big Dance Floor"
The black and white checker board floor set of "My Music: '50s & '60s Party Songs" might look familiar to
Jersey Shore oldies fans – it's modeled after the former the Yakety Yak Cafe in Seaside Heights.
"I used to sneak into the club when I was 15 years old," said Lubinsky, who spins the oldies Sunday nights for Manahawkin's WJRZ (100.1-FM). "The first time I went in there, I could finally be with people like me,
young and older folks ... I jumped down onto the dance floor and they started doing the Hand Jive
to the beat of 'Mickey's Monkey' and I was in the middle."
"It changed the way I viewed life, to be with people who felt the same as I did on this black and
white checkered floor at the Yakety Yak in Seaside." - ASBURY PARK PRESS: May 30th, 2014
